The original ceiling was dome-shaped and the brick roof is not more than a century old.
Hazratbal Mosque - Situated in a village on the western shores of the Dal Lake opposite Nishat Bagh, is a pristine white marble edifice casting its reflection in the waters of the lake. Unlike the other mosques in Srinagar, which have a pagoda-like roof, Hazratbal is the only mosque to have a domed roof mosque in Srinagar; the others have distinct pagoda-like roofs Gardens.
Jama Masjid - Situated in the heart of the old city of Srinagar, this huge mosque is visited by thousands of people who congregate here for the Friday prayers.
Tulip Garden – This Tulip Garden, situated at the foothills of Srinagar ZarBawan Range is the largest Tulip garden and is called Indira Gandhi National Tulip Garden. It is spanning an area of around 30 hectares, and during the springtime from March to May, every year different colors of tulip start to bloom and thousands of visitors flocked into this garden to see its beauty. There are different colors of Tulip along with many local varieties of flowers and in early April every year, it hosts the famous Tulip Festival. The park is overlooking Dal Lake with the Nishat Bagh and Chasham Shahi in the surrounding area.
Shalimar Bagh – Largest and most beautiful Mughal Garden in Srinagar, built-in 1619 by the emperor Jahangir in memory of his wife NurJahan. It is connected to Dal Lake for water supply. During the autumn and spring season, the gardens look very beautiful due to the change of color of leaves of famous Chinar Trees.
Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and (Abode of love) – It is the second Mughal garden of Kashmir and on the eastern side of Dal Lake. It has a twelve terrace garden hosting green trees, scented flowers, and big fountains. It was constructed by Asif Khan in 1633 and the best time to visit is from March to May when the flowers are in full bloom.
Chashme Shahi – It is the smallest garden amongst the three Mughal Gardens in the valley and is located in the Zabarwan range overlooking the Dal Lake. This artistically build garden has some Iranian influence in its architecture and design, and is build around a fresh water spring which constantly flows through the centre.

A place blessed with absolute beauty, Kashmir truly stands true for being the paradise on earth and I got the chance to visit this wonderful Sate from Delhi by booking through NatureWings Holidays. Mr. Raha made me a customized itinerary and took care of my special requests, thereby providing the best professional service. We had a great cherishable holiday all thanks to the NatureWings team.
We had a great holiday in Kashmir, all thanks to Mr. Sandip for his perfect arrangements; from pick up, drop, ski equipment, care coordination, and hotel bookings all was well managed. The Shikara ride on the Dal Lake was magical and with a suggestion from Mr. Sandip I tried out few authentic Kashmiri foods from the local shops which added more flavor to my trip. I have already recommended NatureWings to my family and friends for Kashmir Trip, and wish to explore other parts of India with them too.
Spent a weekend in Kashmir booked through NatureWings. My father booked the Kashmir Tour Package from Naturewings through email. Thanks to Mr. Raha for making our Kashmir trip really memorable. Kashmir is the best place for skiing. Very professional organization. Just back to Bangalore. Now we miss Kashmir.
We had an awesome Kashmir Tour this September. Had only four days. But thanks to meticulous planning and effort of the staff at NatureWings, we could cover Pahelgam, Gulmarg and Srinagar fairly well. We landed on the day of election in Srinagar. But team NatureWings took all care. Was very very lucky to make it to both Gulmarg Phase II and Tulip Garden. Gulmarg is simply out of the world. Dal lake Shikara Ride was so relaxing. Kids loved the Houseboat stay the most. At the end wished just life could just go on like this - family, friends and fun.
We were in a group of 2 families with 4 adults and 2 kids. We stayed in "Heaven on Earth" this summer. Had a marvelous experience with Naturewings. The guides and drivers were very courteous. Picked us up from Srinagar Airport. There was curfew in the city, but tourists vehicles were allowed to go without any trouble. The drivers worked hard to find out a good restaurant for lunch. Reached Pahalgam in the evening. Next day, visited the beautiful Chandanwadi and Betaab Valley and then shifted to Gulmarg. On the 3rd day, went upto the 2nd phase of Gondola. Unless you go this place, you will not believe that such heaven exists on the earth. Weather God was kind enough during the entire trip. Breath-taking view from 4200 mts, all Whites. Imtiyaz was a great guide at Gulmarg. After coming back to phase 1, had lunch on restaurant on the snow. First time, experienced skiing, sledge, snow mobiles. It was an experience which we can never forget. Shifted to beautiful Srinagar in the evening and stayed in Super-Deluxe Monalisa House Boat. Again, that was an experience. Had Shikara Ride with lot of mouth-watering foods. Next day visited all the gardens. Overall, it was a great experience. A big big thanks to the team of NatureWings.
I had visited Kashmir with Vaishno Devi and it was a very nice experience. The hotels provided to us was really great to stay. The sightseeing was exactly what was sent to me in the itinerary. The guide was just excellent. In short the trip was more than what we had expected. We would love to go with NatureWings in future.
