Shey Monastery - the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. The Shey Monastery or Gompa and the Shey Palace complex are structures located on a hillock in Shey, 15 kilometres to the south of Leh in Ladakh, northern India on the Leh-Manali road. Shey was the old capital of the upper Ladakh region. When the Dogras of Jammu invaded Ladakh in 1842, the Namgyals abandoned the palace and fled to Stok (they made it their permanent residence) on the opposite side of the Indus River. It is conjectured that the fort found in ruins, not dated, above the present palace at Shey, belonged to this period of invasion. Subsequently, when the political dictates necessitated shifting of the capital to Leh, even then the importance of Shey continued since it was a mandatory requirement of the Namgyal kings to father their heir apparent here.
3 Idiot School - This school is also known as "The Druk White Lotus School" located in Shey, Ladakh, in northern India, and is known locally as the "Druk Padma Karpo School". Leh Palace - Leh Palace is a former royal palace overlooking the town of Leh, Ladakh, in the Indian Himalayas. This palace was constructed circa 1600 by Sengge Namgyal. The palace was abandoned when Dogra forces took control of Ladakh in the mid-19th century and forced the royal family to move to Stok Palace. It is nine storeys high, the upper floors accommodated the royal family, while the lower floors held stables and store rooms. Much of the palace is in deteriorated condition, and little survives of its interior decorations. The Palace Museum holds a rich collection of jewellery, ornaments, ceremonial dresses and crowns. Chinese thangka or paintings, which are more than 450 years old, with intricate designs still retain the bright colors derived from crushed and powdered gems and stones. Structures around the palace's base include the prominent Namgyal Stupa, the colourfully muralled Chandazik Gompa and the 1430 Chamba Lhakhang, with medieval mural fragments located between the inner and outer walls. The palace is being restored by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), this palace is open to the public and the roof provides panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding areas.

Yes, definitely he/she can. The most adventurous thing which pumps up our adrenaline is – Ladakh Tour from Manali through Manali Leh Highway. For freightless traveler, it’s a passion, for photographers it’s a paradise and for bikers, it’s a dream. The road distance between Manali to Leh is approximately 490 km and it almost takes 2days for the journey by motorcycle, Jeep or bus.
Before you are planning your Ladakh Package Tour, you must be well conversant with various climates & temperature in Ladakh. Winter in Ladakh is unbearable as temperature can drop as low as -30° (Leh & Kargil) to -60° in (Drass). You will experience subzero temperature from December to end of February. This results in freezing of all available water resources and life become standstill in Ladakh. So it is not a good idea to plan Leh Ladakh travel during winter. So what is the best time to travel Ladakh then?
Well, According to suggestions of NatureWings, the best time to book Ladakh Tour Packages is between April to mid of September as during this time only Ladakh has the pleasant weather and accessibility to various sightseeing destination is easy to access. During summer which starts from April and prevail till end of July temperature varies between 15°C - 30°C. The snow is completely vanished and you can discover Ladakh with its full bloom with an ambience of favourite Hemis festival.
You must start early from Leh City if you want to cover Leh to Pangong in a day & be back by evening. It will take you at least 5-6 hours to get to Pangong& another 5-6 hours to return back.
Any Ladakh Package Tour or Kargil Package Tour should be planned from March to August as summer is the best season to travel as the temperature starts to rise and the harsh winter seems to subside although from April to Mid May tourist could still find snow. March is the month of the adventures like trekking and river rafting and many more for those who are interested.

I made a dream trip to Ladakh with NatureWings. I along with two teammates completed our trip in a span of 8 days. All accommodations arranged by NatureWings were very good. Where Our Driver cum Guide Karma Bhaiya showed us the breathtaking beauty of the Ladakh Region consisting of the Monasteries of Leh, Special attraction was double humped camels & the Magnetic hills of Leh region. We have really enjoyed our trip and highly satisfied with the all arrangements. It was a great memory to cherish. Looking forward to travel again with you guys shortly.
Few days back we, a family of 6 people have completed our tour of Leh Ladakh. The entire tour was conducted by NatureWings. We have started our journey from Bangalore. All arrangements along with the accommodation and the transportation were very much satisfactory as per our expectations. Vehicle was good and the driver was a very nice and helpful person to accompany with. The planning of the itinerary was so much perfect so that we do not need to rush all day. Tough the roads were rough in some parts still we were mesmerized by the beauty of the region. Nature, with all its treasures, always provides a treat to the eyes and soul. Good Job NatureWings. Keep it up.
Me and My wife have chosen the Mesmerism Ladakh for our Honeymoon. We are from Mumbai and booked our entire Ladakh Package from NatureWings. From the very beginning they have guided us properly and passed all necessary information Guidelines. Based on our requirements they designed our Leh Ladakh Trip in a very decent way. We have taken a flight from Mumbai to Leh. Once we land up at Leh airport, our Driver was already present there. Mr. Jigme was a very nice person. He took us to all the sightseeing points and guided us for local Do's & Don’ts. We were very happy to see that on the very day he requested us to do not through and wastage or garbage on road to keep Ladakh clean. Amidst the journey, we travelled through the Khardungla Top, the highest motor-able road of the world. The deep blue water of the Pangong Lake mesmerized us with its own beauty. Lastly I will like to request to the entire upcoming tourist for Ladakh region that, in our travel days we found Ladakh so clean, that’s why it looks more beautiful. The increasing number of tourists can hamper its cleanliness. PLEASE KEEP YOUR WASTE WITH YOU AND DROP IT IN PROPER PLACE. KEEP LADAKH CLEAN.

Really it was an amazing trip organised by NatureWings. I liked the way they have planned the whole trip. Hotels and drivers were very good. The driver allotted for the trip was very polite & was proficient in driving through the Mountain terrains. NatureWings team was in touch in daily basis for our feedback or any complaints. We enjoyed the breathtaking beauty of the Ladakh Region consisting of the Monasteries of Leh, the cold desert of Nubra with its double humped camels, the deep blue water of the Pangong Lake, the Magnetic hills of Leh region and many more. In between the journey, we traversed through the Khardungla Top, the highest motor-able road of the world. While coming back from Leh, we crossed Kargil where the Infamous battle of Indo-Pak took place and paid homage in the war Memorial. Though the roads were tough, nature with all its treasures was always ready to provide a treat to the eyes and soul. We really enjoyed our Ladakh Trip very much. Thanks NatureWings for a memorable experience.
