Since this area doesn't have any single shop, it is always advisable to carry dry foods like to carry biscuits, chips, dry fruits, fruits, etc. Foreign Liquors / Alcohols are not also available in Chota Mangwa or Bara Mangwa.
Health Facility & Health Precautions : It is advisable to carry specific medicines as there are no pharmacy shops in Chota Mangmaya or Bara Mangmaya. Always carry a kit of the basic emergency medicines you might need for diarrhea, fever, etc, also band-aids and an antiseptic ointment. The nearest health facility /medicine shop is available at Teesta Bazar or Kalimpong.
Card Payment & ATM : Credit / Debit Card is not accepted in Mangmaya. In Mangmaya there is also no ATM. Please carry cash for all your transactions.

I gifted my in-laws with a Lamahatta Tour Package on their 25 wedding anniversary and left the rest upon NatureWings to make the necessary arrangements. Neither the destination nor Mr. Arpan Adhikari let me down, and they had an awesome trip to cherish forever. The choice of home stay, driver, and food was very good, and Lamahatta, in nutshell, is a nature lover hotspot and a true wonder to visit once in a lifetime.
Our Lamahatta Tour was the result of our missed toy train ride, and a quick suggestion from Mr. Arpan Adhikari to explore this place with a day visit. Lamahatta is a small village enclosed by greens on all sides and has well equipped decent home stays serving good food. We had a great time visiting Chota Mangwa, and Lamahatta eco-park, where we trekked and snapped the beauty of nature.
Our Lamahatta Darjeeling Trip was like finding a hidden gem within the magnificent hills of Darjeeling. Set in the backdrop of Mt. Kanchenjunga, this wonderful place was suggested to me by Mr. Sandip Raha, and trusting his choice made way for a great holiday. Lamahatta eco-park, Chota mangwa, and the nearby tea estates were our sightseeing points, and we trekked to the top to see the sacred pond at the eco-park covered with tall pine trees and secluded from the busy areas.
Being an old customer, I reached Mrs. Mousumi Raha, a specialist in this sector, to organize my Darjeeling and Lamahatta Tour from Mumbai Mrs. Raha planned and executed my trip very well, and we had a good time in the lap of nature at Lamahatta, where we did trekking, photo-op amongst the tall pine forest, and stayed at comfortable view rooms before moving on to the queen of hills, Darjeeling. Lamahatta is closer than Darjeeling from NGP. Weather in Lamahatta is very comfortable, not so hot or cold and most importantly free from pollution. Lamahatta is a heavenly place with a full view of Kanchenjunga range. The beautiful park on the lap of hill is another attraction. As this is a newly recognized visiting place there are few hotels and restaurants mainly Home stays.

Hailing from humid Kolkata, Sikkim, and Darjeeling occupies a special place inside us apart from being the nearest hill station. Kolakham and Charkhole have a charm of its own, smiling people, far from the crowded cities, in the lap of untouched nature with picturesque views of the mountains that we could only dream.
