It was constructed by Asif Khan in 1633 and the best time to visit is from March to May when the flowers are in full bloom.
Chashme Shahi – It is the smallest garden amongst the three Mughal Gardens in the valley and is located in the Zabarwan range overlooking the Dal Lake. This artistically build garden has some Iranian influence in its architecture and design, and is build around a fresh water spring which constantly flows through the centre.

As a traveller, you must be prepared for any circumstances while travelling. There may appear any harsh situation which you can control with some basic things you carry. Here is some list of them :
Identity Proof : Always carry your original ID proof with you as Kashmir is the most sensitive part of India and anytime situation may go wrong. In that case it is only your ID proof that proves your nationality. So carry your Voter Card / Aadhaar Card / Driving Licence with you.
Keep / inform nearby contacts with you : If you have any contacts near that region / state like in Kashmir, Delhi, Haryana etc, let them inform about your journey or keep their address and contact no with you so that for any tough situation you can contact them for any help.
Medicines : This is one of the most important things in your travel kit or hand bag. Always carry basic medicine for fever, headache, vomiting, stomach upset and prescribed antiseptics, antibiotics, antacids and painkillers along with inhalers, pain relief sprays, band-aid, bandage & ointment for safe and secure journey.
Warm clothes and Jackets : Depending on your journey date you need to carry light (April - Oct) or Heavy (Nov - March) woollen clothes with you. Places like Gulmarg, Sonmarg and Pahelgam are very chilling throughout the year hence take proper precautions. It is advisable to carry water proof jackets or windcheater to avoid unseasonal rains.
Trekking Shoes/Boots : If travelling icy places like Gulmarg or Sonmagr during cold season, it is better to wear your own high thigh boots or gumboots to safe guard your legs though you can rent it from local stores.
Dry Fruits : Trust me, this is a must to be in your travel bags or hand bags. Kashmir is a hilly area and landslides may halt and stuck you in a place for long time. In that case only dry fruits can keep your hunger in control and alive.
Indeed the list is huge. Here we have provided some basic necessities to keep with you while travelling in Kashmir. In spite of the above listed things there are many to add on your item list like moisturisers, cold cream, extra carry bags, umbrella, adequate money, debit cards, credit cards, torch, candle, match stick, gas lighter, small rope, small knife, camera etc.
ATM's are pretty much available in and around Kashmir, especially in Srinagar. The network of ATM is very much vast in Srinagar. So locating them and withdrawing cash is easy. In spite of that NatureWings suggest you to carry adequate cash during Kashmir Tour Package booking from Mumbai because anytime ATM's can get out of order or without cash. Internet links also can hamper cash withdrawing facilities. So plan wisely and carry hard cash in small denomination like Rs 10, 50, 100 and 500.
See, Kashmir is year-round destination. Generally three main seasons are best to travel in Kashmir - the spring, the autumn and winter. The best time to book your Kashmir Package Tour from Mumbai will be between March to October. During this time the weather is clean, pleasant, gardens are in full bloom to welcome visitors, and lakes are crystal clear to roam about with a Shikara. Places like Pahalgam, Gumlarg, Sonmarg offer best views of nature. Now, if you are looking for snow and snowing activity, book your Kashmir Tour from Mumbai in December to March. This is best time to behold the actual beauty of Kashmir. During winter, Kashmir is not less that Switzerland.
There is plenty of street food available on the street of Kashmir, which is worth pampering your taste buds for its distinct flavours namely Dum Aloo, Nadir Monji, Masala Tchot, Kalari Kulcha, Lala Shangram, Monji Gaade Halwa-Paratha, Kachalu Chaat, etc.
Kashmir is undoubtedly the best shopping hub for shopaholics as the products sold over here are known for the fine works of the artisans and their patience that we get to see and purchase from the local markets. At Kashmir do shop for Kashmiri Jewelleries, Walnut wood items, Carpets, Papier Mache Artefacts, Pashmina Shawls, Copperware, Kashmiri tea, dry fruits like Walnut, Apricots, Dates, Cashew, Resins, Pistachios, spices, Kashmiri apples, etc.
Yes, it is advised to carry liquor from Mumbai to Srinagar, as this city has only 3 to 4 shops selling liquor, so it is better to carry your drink and consume it inside the hotel room.

A place blessed with absolute beauty, Kashmir truly stands true for being the paradise on earth and I got the chance to visit this wonderful Sate from Delhi by booking through NatureWings Holidays. Mr. Raha made me a customized itinerary and took care of my special requests, thereby providing the best professional service. We had a great cherishable holiday all thanks to the NatureWings team.
NatureWings M.D. Mr. Sandip Raha, with his expert knowledge, arranged my Kashmir Trip from Mumbai with the best hotels in picturesque locations like Gulmarg and Pahalgam while providing a Houseboat in Srinagar for the first 3 nights and a hotel for the last 1 night. The hotels were decent and had a nice view from the rooms with good services, but we enjoyed more while staying in the Houseboat and it was like pampering our-self in the lap of pristine nature all away from the busy cities. We went to some lesser-known extraordinary locations of Kashmir like Doodhpathri, Bangus Valley, Lolab Valley, and Baisaran Valley as recommended by Mr. Raha, and enjoyed the Gondola Ride both the phase. Thanks to the NatureWings team for organizing our trip and specifically for suggesting a Houseboat stay.
We had a great holiday in Kashmir, all thanks to Mr. Sandip for his perfect arrangements; from pick up, drop, ski equipment, care coordination, and hotel bookings all was well managed. The Shikara ride on the Dal Lake was magical and with a suggestion from Mr. Sandip I tried out few authentic Kashmiri foods from the local shops which added more flavor to my trip. I have already recommended NatureWings to my family and friends for Kashmir Trip, and wish to explore other parts of India with them too.
Our trip to the Paradise on Earth from Ahmadabad was best accompanied by Houseboat stay at Srinagar, which had amazing service towards their guest with a mesmerizing view of the Lake, mountains, and Mughal gardens from the balcony. We had great privacy and full peace of mind while staying for 3 nights at the Houseboat and our Hotel stay at Gulmarg and Pahalgam too matched our expectations while the destination left us spellbound. If you wish to visit this State, do choose Kashmir Trip with Houseboat Package from NatureWings for a worthwhile experience.
Spent a weekend in Kashmir booked through NatureWings. My father booked the Kashmir Tour Package from Naturewings through email. Thanks to Mr. Raha for making our Kashmir trip really memorable. Kashmir is the best place for skiing. Very professional organization. Just back to Bangalore. Now we miss Kashmir.
We had an awesome Kashmir Tour this September. Had only four days. But thanks to meticulous planning and effort of the staff at NatureWings, we could cover Pahelgam, Gulmarg and Srinagar fairly well. We landed on the day of election in Srinagar. But team NatureWings took all care. Was very very lucky to make it to both Gulmarg Phase II and Tulip Garden. Gulmarg is simply out of the world. Dal lake Shikara Ride was so relaxing. Kids loved the Houseboat stay the most. At the end wished just life could just go on like this - family, friends and fun.
We booked a Kashmir Trip with Houseboat Package from NatureWings and matching our preference Mr. Sandip Raha provided our stay on the Dal Lake. The location of the Houseboat was excellent, and the rooms were beautiful with lovely Kashmiri decorations and a good view of the busy Srinagar city. Once we landed at the Houseboat, we were overwhelmed with the warm welcome we received from them, and the best part was sitting on the deck and capturing the calm sunrise and sunset while sipping on hot Kahwa. Our 4 nights stay at the Srinagar Houseboat was a memorable one, and we didn’t book any hotel at this place and opted for these unique stay arrangements.
We were in a group of 2 families with 4 adults and 2 kids. We stayed in "Heaven on Earth" this summer. Had a marvelous experience with Naturewings. The guides and drivers were very courteous. Picked us up from Srinagar Airport. There was curfew in the city, but tourists vehicles were allowed to go without any trouble. The drivers worked hard to find out a good restaurant for lunch. Reached Pahalgam in the evening. Next day, visited the beautiful Chandanwadi and Betaab Valley and then shifted to Gulmarg. On the 3rd day, went upto the 2nd phase of Gondola. Unless you go this place, you will not believe that such heaven exists on the earth. Weather God was kind enough during the entire trip. Breath-taking view from 4200 mts, all Whites. Imtiyaz was a great guide at Gulmarg. After coming back to phase 1, had lunch on restaurant on the snow. First time, experienced skiing, sledge, snow mobiles. It was an experience which we can never forget. Shifted to beautiful Srinagar in the evening and stayed in Super-Deluxe Monalisa House Boat. Again, that was an experience. Had Shikara Ride with lot of mouth-watering foods. Next day visited all the gardens. Overall, it was a great experience. A big big thanks to the team of NatureWings.
I had visited Kashmir with Vaishno Devi and it was a very nice experience. The hotels provided to us was really great to stay. The sightseeing was exactly what was sent to me in the itinerary. The guide was just excellent. In short the trip was more than what we had expected. We would love to go with NatureWings in future.
We usually love to stay in fancy hotels but while booking our Kashmir Tour Package from Mumbai, Mr. Sandip recommended us book at least one night in the Houseboat, and trusting him we said YES, but when we checked in and got our beautiful room with such a nice décor and amazing views of the mountains and Dal Lake in one frame we knew it was the best decision made. The royal treatment with mouthwatering Kashmiri delicacies was excellent, and if we plan for a second Kashmir Trip, we would again choose a Houseboat for our stay but more nights.
