Thiksey Monastery - Thiksey Monastery is located on a hill-lock with formidable views of the Indus valley. Thiksey is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk.
Shey Monastery - the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. The Shey Monastery or Gompa and the Shey Palace complex are structures located on a hillock in Shey, 15 kilometres to the south of Leh in Ladakh, northern India on the Leh-Manali road. Shey was the old capital of the upper Ladakh region. When the Dogras of Jammu invaded Ladakh in 1842, the Namgyals abandoned the palace and fled to Stok (they made it their permanent residence) on the opposite side of the Indus River. It is conjectured that the fort found in ruins, not dated, above the present palace at Shey, belonged to this period of invasion. Subsequently, when the political dictates necessitated shifting of the capital to Leh, even then the importance of Shey continued since it was a mandatory requirement of the Namgyal kings to father their heir apparent here.
3 Idiot School - This school is also known as "The Druk White Lotus School" located in Shey, Ladakh, in northern India, and is known locally as the "Druk Padma Karpo School". Karpo means White and Padma means Lotus in the local language Bodhi. The school got its name 3 idiot school after the famous Indian actor Mr. Amir Khan cast his memorable movie 3 idiots here. Post lunch you may visit :
Leh Palace - Leh Palace is a former royal palace overlooking the town of Leh, Ladakh, in the Indian Himalayas. This palace was constructed circa 1600 by Sengge Namgyal. The palace was abandoned when Dogra forces took control of Ladakh in the mid-19th century and forced the royal family to move to Stok Palace. It is nine storeys high, the upper floors accommodated the royal family, while the lower floors held stables and store rooms. Much of the palace is in deteriorated condition, and little survives of its interior decorations. The Palace Museum holds a rich collection of jewellery, ornaments, ceremonial dresses and crowns. Chinese thangka or paintings, which are more than 450 years old, with intricate designs still retain the bright colors derived from crushed and powdered gems and stones. Structures around the palace's base include the prominent Namgyal Stupa, the colourfully muralled Chandazik Gompa and the 1430 Chamba Lhakhang, with medieval mural fragments located between the inner and outer walls. The palace is being restored by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), this palace is open to the public and the roof provides panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding areas.
Shanti Stupa - Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist white-domed stupa (chorten) on a hilltop in Chanspa, Leh district, Ladakh, in the north India. It was built in 1991 by Japanese.

In NatureWings special Leh Ladakh Tour Packages, Nubra Valley, which lies between the Karakoram and Ladakh mountain range and is a sub-division of the Union territory of Ladakh, is one of the most unique and less travelled destinations in India. Famous for the Double Humped also known as the Bactrian Camels, this valley is now starting to gain popularity among the tourists.
To reach Nubra Valley tourists are required to travel via Diskit (capital of Nubra valley), from Leh which takes around 5 hours. Along the way the tourists have to cross the Khardung La pass which at an altitude of 17,600 feet and the military check-post. In order to enter Nubra valley the tourists are required to get a permit as the valley is too close to the country borders and also pay an entry fee of rupees 20 per vehicle. There are two types of permits available, the Protected Area Permit (PAP) and the Inner Line Permit (ILP) for the foreigners to enter the valley respectively. Along the way lies Hundar village (12km from Diskit) which is also famous for white sand dunes. The sand dunes stretch from Hundar village to the Nubra valley and this is the spot where the Double Humped Camel Safari actually takes place. The charge of the double humped camel rides is 200 INR per head for 15 minutes.
Originally named Ldumra meaning ‘Valley of Flowers’, Nubra valley has variety of berries and nuts. Leh berries (Hippophae) and sea buckthorn which is a staple food for the bactrian camels are found in plenty. The tourists enjoy the activities but the valley itself is one of the most soul soothing places on earth.
This 6N/7D Ladakh Tour includes the most famous and sparkling blue Pangong lake, situated in Changthang region near Leh-Ladakh (5 hours drive from Leh) in the Himalayas, at a height of approximately 4,350 m above the sea level. The beautiful multi-shaded ocean like lake is 134 km (83 mi) long and extends from India to the Tibetan Autonomous Region of China with 60% coverage in Tibet. The Pangong Lake is almost 5 km wide at its broadest point. All together it covers 604 sq. km.
The word Pangong is derived from a Tibetan word "Banggong Co" which means "long, narrow, enchanted lake". Pangong Lake in Ladakh is the world's highest brackish lake at 14,256 feet above the sea level. In winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water. The Brackish water lake does not support vegetation or aquatic life, despite you can spot many water birds as well as migratory birds like Brahmani Ducks, Rare black necked cranes and Seagulls during summer. One can also spot Ladakhi Marmots, a rodent-like creature here.
A unique feature of the end or heic Lake is that it does not remain blue throughout the year or even the day, rather it changes colors with the weather condition. The water sparkles in distinct shades of blue, green, purple, and violet, being transparent to a good depth, stand in stark contrast to the arid mountains surrounding it. Though boating is prohibited here, but Camping at Pangong Lake can be an enthralling experience.
It has emerged as one of the most desired places to visit especially after the movie-shoots of Bollywood blockbusters "3 idiots" and "Jab Tak Hai Jaan". The serenity and tranquility of Pangong Lake are the tourist's paradise which cannot be described but can only be experienced through The Ladakh Package Tour From Ahmedabad.

It was an amazing Ladakh Trip. It’s our first family trip with NatureWings and In future surely we will plan our trips with NatureWings. All the arrangements made by them were as committed at the time of selling. The vehicle was in a very good shape & the driver we got, was an experienced young locale chap, who knows the hills very well. He shared his experience and travel tips as a guide beyond just driving. Quality of the hotels & surrounding breathtaking view was the icing on the cake. We got warm and comfortable rooms, along with the hot, fresh & hygienic foods. We had gone through NatureWings which was suggested by one of my friends who have experienced their expertise in Himalayan Region. We started our journey by flight from Mumbai to leh. The trip from Leh to Nubra valley and Pangong Lake has breathtaking views. While return we experienced snowfall in Khardungla Pass, which was like cherry on top. The driver we got was a very helpful and kind-hearted person. We very much enjoyed his accompany for the entire Ladakh Trip. All the arrangements were as per expectations and committed by them. A big thumps up for NatureWings, we highly recommend them to all.
For the first time in my life, I booked a package tour from a tour operator, and based on my experience, I must say it will not be my last. From the very first day of communication a thoroughly professional approach, keeping the best interests and the needs of the customer in mind at all times was their point of concern. All the arrangements were good & value for money, and the process of procuring permits and other formalities was seamless and smooth. The hotels and food were good, and even arrangements were made for vegetarian food as well. Overall, an excellent memorable experience. Team NatureWings was very responsive and we always felt safe and well taken care of throughout the trip. We enjoyed our Ladakh Package Tour from Mumbai at our fullest satisfaction. Kudos Team - NatureWings.
