AHMEDABAD: A CITY OF RICH TAPESTRY
Ahmedabad, fondly called Amdavad by locals, is the largest city in the western Indian state of Gujarat. Located on the banks of the Sabarmati River, Ahmedabad boasts a rich history, vibrant culture, and thriving textile industry.
Here's a glimpse into what makes Ahmedabad a remarkable city:
Historical Significance: Founded in 1411 by Ahmed Shah I, Ahmedabad served as the capital of Gujarat for over 600 years. The city reflects a unique blend of Hindu and Muslim architectural influences, evident in its mosques, tombs, temples, and stepwells. Ahmedabad has been rightfully inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage City for its architectural wealth.
Textile Hub: Ahmedabad is synonymous with textiles. Nicknamed the "Manchester of the East," the city has a long and illustrious history of textile production dating back to the Mughal era. Even today, Ahmedabad remains a major center for cotton, silk, and other textiles.
Mahatma Gandhi's Abode: Ahmedabad was home to Mahatma Gandhi, the revered leader of the Indian independence movement. Gandhi established his Satyagraha Ashram, or Sabarmati Ashram, on the banks of the Sabarmati River in 1915. This ashram served as a center for Gandhi's non-violent resistance movement and is now a national monument. Tourists can visit Sabarmati Ashram to learn more about Gandhi's life and philosophy.
Cultural Tapestry: Ahmedabad is a melting pot of cultures, traditions, and religions. The city celebrates numerous festivals throughout the year, with Navratri and Uttarayan holding particular significance. The nine-day Navratri festival is a vibrant celebration of dance, music, and worship of the nine forms of Durga. Uttarayan, also known as the International Kite Festival, witnesses the skies come alive with colorful kites.
The city of Ahmedabad blends the past and present with ease. In this location, history comes alive, textiles weave a rich tapestry, and culture thrives in every corner.

Embrace nature's splendor at Betaab Valley, a scenic paradise just 15 kilometers from Pahalgam. Named after the iconic Bollywood film "Betaab," this valley boasts lush green meadows, snow-capped peaks, and dense vegetation. A haven for nature lovers, Betaab Valley is a popular tourist destination and a favorite among campers. Hikers use it as a base camp to further explore the majestic mountains. Explore the valley at your own pace - it's easily accessible by foot from Pahalgam. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the gurgling stream, its crystal-clear, chilly water sourced from the snow-capped peaks above. Even the locals quench their thirst for this refreshing source, a testament to its purity.
CHANDANWARI
If you're feeling adventurous, head out to Chandanwari, 16 kilometers away. This scenic spot is the starting point for the annual Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage and offers exciting snow activities. Take a thrilling snow sled ride across a snow bridge, have a playful snowball fight, or simply relax with a cup of tea and snacks at a nearby eatery. On the way back, stop by Hajan, a picturesque location often featured in Bollywood films, perfect for a picnic lunch.
For a more relaxed pace, explore the beauty of Pahalgam itself. Rent ponies directly from vendors and embark on a scenic ride to the Baisaran Valley, nicknamed "Mini Switzerland" for its stunning meadows. Whichever path you choose, return to your hotel by evening for a delicious dinner and a restful night's sleep.
BAISARAN VALLEY
After a relaxing day exploring Pahalgam, get ready for another scenic wonder! Today's adventure takes you to the enchanting Baisaran Valley. Imagine a lush meadow carpeted with vibrant greenery, embraced by rolling hills and dense vegetation. This charming valley, reminiscent of European resorts, is a haven for campers. Dotted with pine forests, Baisaran offers a picture-perfect vista of snow-capped mountains that will leave you breathless. The star of the show is the vast, rolling meadow itself, surrounded by a thick blanket of pine trees. Movie buffs might recognize this location from several Bollywood films! After soaking up the beauty, return to Pahalgam for a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel.
DAY 5 : PAHALGAM TO SRINAGAR TRIP
Today's itinerary is packed with cultural and historical gems! After an early breakfast, check out of your hotel and head back to Srinagar. Upon arrival, embark on a city tour, starting with the Hazratbal Shrine, a revered Islamic pilgrimage site. Next, visit the Shankaracharya Temple, believed to be the place where the philosopher and saint stayed during his visit to Kashmir centuries ago. In the afternoon, delve into Mughal history with visits to the stunning Mughal Gardens. Marvel at Nishat Bagh, the "Garden of Pleasure," was built in the 17th century by Mughal emperor Asif Khan. Then, be captivated by Shalimar Bagh, the "Garden of Love," built by emperor Jahangir for his wife Noor Jahan. Finally, wrap up your day at the Chashmashahi Garden, a historical gem favored by emperors and picnickers alike. As evening approaches, return to your Srinagar hotel for a restful night's stay.
DAY 6 : SRINAGAR TO DOODHPATHRI DAY TRIP
Embark on a captivating day trip to Doodhpathri, also known as the "Valley of Milk," after an early breakfast. Nestled in Kashmir's Budgam district, this scenic hill station lies roughly 42 kilometers from Srinagar, the summer capital. Legend tells the tale of a revered Kashmiri saint, Sheikh ul Aalam, who once struck the ground with his staff while searching for water for prayers. Instead of water, milk emerged! Upon requesting the milk be used for drinking only, it miraculously transformed into water, giving the valley its name - Doodhpathri. The streams that flow through the meadows today retain a milky appearance from afar and a refreshing coolness year-round. Lush green meadows carpeted with vibrant wildflowers like daisies, forget-me-nots, and buttercups in spring and summer add to Doodhpathri's charm. During winter, these meadows transform into a snowy wonderland. After exploring this enchanting valley, return to Srinagar for a relaxing overnight stay at your hotel.
DAY 7 : SRINAGAR TO SONMARG DAY TRIP
After an invigorating breakfast, you'll check out of your hotel and embark on a captivating day trip to Sonmarg, known as the "Meadow of Gold." Brace yourself for a scenic drive surrounded by dense pine forests and majestic snow-capped mountains. Sonmarg serves as a gateway to adventure, offering treks, high-altitude lakes, glaciers, and even the holy Amarnath cave. The meandering Lidder River, teeming with trout and mahseer, adds to the magic. This charming hill station also holds historical significance as the last stop on the Kashmir side of the Srinagar to Leh route. During the summer, explore the Thajiwas glacier, a local favorite, by hiring ponies or vehicles (payable directly). As evening approaches, return to Srinagar for a relaxing night's stay at your hotel.

A place blessed with absolute beauty, Kashmir truly stands true for being the paradise on earth and I got the chance to visit this wonderful Sate from Delhi by booking through NatureWings Holidays. Mr. Raha made me a customized itinerary and took care of my special requests, thereby providing the best professional service. We had a great cherishable holiday all thanks to the NatureWings team.

NatureWings M.D. Mr. Sandip Raha, with his expert knowledge, arranged my Kashmir Trip from Mumbai with the best hotels in picturesque locations like Gulmarg and Pahalgam while providing a Houseboat in Srinagar for the first 3 nights and a hotel for the last 1 night. The hotels were decent and had a nice view from the rooms with good services, but we enjoyed more while staying in the Houseboat and it was like pampering our-self in the lap of pristine nature all away from the busy cities. We went to some lesser-known extraordinary locations of Kashmir like Doodhpathri, Bangus Valley, Lolab Valley, and Baisaran Valley as recommended by Mr. Raha, and enjoyed the Gondola Ride both the phase. Thanks to the NatureWings team for organizing our trip and specifically for suggesting a Houseboat stay.

We had a great holiday in Kashmir, all thanks to Mr. Sandip for his perfect arrangements; from pick up, drop, ski equipment, care coordination, and hotel bookings all was well managed. The Shikara ride on the Dal Lake was magical and with a suggestion from Mr. Sandip I tried out few authentic Kashmiri foods from the local shops which added more flavor to my trip. I have already recommended NatureWings to my family and friends for Kashmir Trip, and wish to explore other parts of India with them too.

Our trip to the Paradise on Earth from Ahmadabad was best accompanied by Houseboat stay at Srinagar, which had amazing service towards their guest with a mesmerizing view of the Lake, mountains, and Mughal gardens from the balcony. We had great privacy and full peace of mind while staying for 3 nights at the Houseboat and our Hotel stay at Gulmarg and Pahalgam too matched our expectations while the destination left us spellbound. If you wish to visit this State, do choose Kashmir Trip with Houseboat Package from NatureWings for a worthwhile experience.

Spent a weekend in Kashmir booked through NatureWings. My father booked the Kashmir Tour Package from Naturewings through email. Thanks to Mr. Raha for making our Kashmir trip really memorable. We had an awesome Kashmir Tour this September. Had only four days. But thanks to meticulous planning and effort of the staff at NatureWings, we could cover Pahelgam, Gulmarg and Srinagar fairly well. We landed on the day of election in Srinagar. But team NatureWings took all care. Was very very lucky to make it to both Gulmarg Phase II and Tulip Garden. Gulmarg is simply out of the world. Dal lake Shikara Ride was so relaxing. Kids loved the Houseboat stay the most. At the end wished just life could just go on like this - family, friends and fun.

We booked a Kashmir Trip with Houseboat Package from NatureWings and matching our preference Mr. Sandip Raha provided our stay on the Dal Lake. The location of the Houseboat was excellent, and the rooms were beautiful with lovely Kashmiri decorations and a good view of the busy Srinagar city. Once we landed at the Houseboat, we were overwhelmed with the warm welcome we received from them, and the best part was sitting on the deck and capturing the calm sunrise and sunset while sipping on hot Kahwa. Our 4 nights stay at the Srinagar Houseboat was a memorable one, and we didn’t book any hotel at this place and opted for these unique stay arrangements.

We were in a group of 2 families with 4 adults and 2 kids. We stayed in "Heaven on Earth" this summer. Had a marvelous experience with Naturewings. The guides and drivers were very courteous. Picked us up from Srinagar Airport. There was curfew in the city, but tourists vehicles were allowed to go without any trouble. The drivers worked hard to find out a good restaurant for lunch. Reached Pahalgam in the evening. Next day, visited the beautiful Chandanwadi and Betaab Valley and then shifted to Gulmarg. On the 3rd day, went upto the 2nd phase of Gondola. Unless you go this place, you will not believe that such heaven exists on the earth. Weather God was kind enough during the entire trip. Breath-taking view from 4200 mts, all Whites. Imtiyaz was a great guide at Gulmarg. After coming back to phase 1, had lunch on restaurant on the snow. First time, experienced skiing, sledge, snow mobiles. It was an experience which we can never forget. Shifted to beautiful Srinagar in the evening and stayed in Super-Deluxe Monalisa House Boat. Again, that was an experience. Had Shikara Ride with lot of mouth-watering foods. Next day visited all the gardens. Overall, it was a great experience. A big big thanks to the team of NatureWings.

I had visited Kashmir with Vaishno Devi and it was a very nice experience. The hotels provided to us was really great to stay. The sightseeing was exactly what was sent to me in the itinerary. The guide was just excellent. In short the trip was more than what we had expected. We would love to go with NatureWings in future.

We usually love to stay in fancy hotels but while booking our Kashmir Tour Package from Mumbai, Mr. Sandip recommended us book at least one night in the Houseboat, and trusting him we said YES, but when we checked in and got our beautiful room with such a nice décor and amazing views of the mountains and Dal Lake in one frame we knew it was the best decision made. The royal treatment with mouthwatering Kashmiri delicacies was excellent, and if we plan for a second Kashmir Trip, we would again choose a Houseboat for our stay but more nights.
